Formerly Tin Tin, now just Tin (CGI-ing that comic strip is enough to make anyone half their name), this is another Kreuzberger factory-to-restaurant conversion which doesn’t stray far from the industrial-chic norm for the category.
That’s not to say it’s bad: with the same design team who juiced up the halls of Panorama Bar, if you like exposed brickwork, naked light bulbs dangling artfully from the ceiling and heavy cement-coated furniture, you’ll love eating here. And there’s always the much brighter, lighter terrace with its boxy seating arrangements and green planters.
The menu is a seasonal arrangement of international dishes – done perhaps surprisingly well – serving the likes of beef wellington, a fresh daily pasta dish, Caesar salad and casual bar food. It lightens up the clubby atmosphere and reminds you that you’re in fact in a restaurant, not in Berghain. So watch what you do in the bathrooms and leave Snowy for later.
