The name apparently translates to “white castle” and stepping into the place you understand why: A sharply designed minimalist white-blue space await you, with baroque Louis XIV accents to go with a good-looking crowd and an even better looking crew of wait staff. Thankfully it isn’t all about looks at Shiro i Shiro that has now taken up residence behind the exclusive Tausend nightclub. It’s self-described as Asian-Ibero American fusion, allowing you to jump from paella soup to sashimi at the same sitting. Interesting – and Eduard Dimant’s cuisine has actually reaped a few awards, including a chef’s hat from the highly respected French Gault Millau guide – but we suspect that the inclusion in the Top Ten of German Scene Restaurants by Germany’s own Feinschmecker guide may be more of draw for most of the guests.
