As far as successful nightspots are concerned, you know you’re guaranteed a well-run ship when the man at the helm is a former bartender.
This newcomer, opened at the end of 2010 by a pint-puller from another Kreuzberg institution, Möbel-Olfe, is an eclectic number, comprising a dance floor, stage and cafe (serving from breakfast through to late-night snacks) ready to accommodate anything from club nights and concerts to live sporting events on the big screens for the queerest Kreuzbergian citizens.
Welcoming to all, the crowd is girl-heavy, and the schedule, which is still being worked out, is already packed. Come here for gay harvest festivals, a revived Flittchenbar with Christiane Rösinger, Friday Kottywood discos, its own ‘Kick it Queer’ Saturday afternoon football team and a monthly Sunday DJ brunch.
