Do not be fooled. The Grand Hyatt may look and feel like a business hotel, but its luxury pedigree is noticeable throughout. Understated – unspectacular, you might even say – but eager to exceed your expectations, the service is efficient, onsite facilities are plentiful (including three quality restaurants and 24-hour room service), and rooms are spacious, functional, and decorated in the neutral tones favoured by Hyatt, with the only real surprise being how large the Aveda-stocked bathrooms are.
Sometimes you just need things to work, and work they do here, which would be the Grand Hyatt’s biggest selling-point had it not been for its top floor crown jewel: the Club Olympus Spa & Fitness club that comes with a fully-equipped gym and a stunning pool overlooking Berlin. All business and a superb release valve for that much needed bit of pleasure.
