DICE CLUB

For a club that has all the elements for a traditional ravers’ paradise – huge space in abandoned electricity station, super sound system, post-industrial décor – but Dice is surprisingly slick and civilised. It must have something to do with the plush interiors or the fab roof terrace, because it’s definitely not because of a weak music line-up – the place was set up by a group of music industry veterans and a programming to show for it. The place attracts a primarily straight (and youngish) audience, but is gay friendly – a dark room has recently been installed – and probably offers the gentlest introduction to Berlin’s club scene possible, with plenty of chill out zones and that marvellous terrace.
