Castañer has the late, great Yves Saint Laurent to thank for its success. When the designer stopped by to order a pair of espadrille heels, it didn’t take long for them to became all the rage. Since then, Castañer has created sandals and espadrilles for the most prestigious fashion brands in the world, including Christian Dior, Chanel, Burberry, Hermes, and Ralph Lauren. At EUR 65-80, the espadrilles are noticeably more expensive than those found at La Manuel Alpargateria, but that’s the price you pay for caressing your feet with the kind of materials that the likes of the fashion world covet.
