Any place belonging to the Tragaluz group of restaurant comes with a certain guarantee of groomed, minimalist design and perfectly passable food, and Bestial doesn’t disappoint on either of those counts.
Set on the beachfront just below Hotel Arts and Frank Gehry’s giant Fish (Peix) sculpture, Bestial benefits from a fabulous multi-level outdoor patio with water views, something of a rarity in Barcelona where typically only touristy picture menu-restaurants have outdoor seating. A late seating, for both lunch and dinner, is often preferable to avoid the pressure to vacate the table, leaving you time to order another bottle of cava.
