Let’s be frank: the price is likely to be the overwhelming reason for booking in here (the prepaid rates offer particularly excellent value) though you certainly wont be slumming it. The grounds of this renovated historic building, dating back to the 1929 World Expo, are immaculate and let you enjoy a luxury retreat on the cheap. If you miss civilization, then it’s only a ten-euro cab fare down the hill, but you may well decide to maximise your time up here to recharge and enjoy Montjuïc’s recreational spaces, as well as the views over the city and the Med from your balcony.
