Economists tell us that monopolies are bad things, but in gay clubs they just make for a fun mix. Being the only real mid-week option, Metro is where everybody eventually ends up: drama queens, Muscle Marys, fems, chubby chasers, tourists and everybody else who is out on a school night and looking for a night cap, boogie or encounter.

Take your pick of Spanish flavored pop hits, Kylie Minogue, and bingo games on one side and house beats on the other. The diversity drops on weekends but the relaxed atmosphere remains with a friendly crowd seeking an alternative to more commercial muscle boy clubs. If the explicit videos showing above the urinals aren’t excitement enough for you, then look out for the infamous darkroom next to the loos.
