They’ve made a real effort with the designs here, and it all hints at Chelsea in New York – the subtly backlit bar, the ambient light system and the very blatant reference of Sex & The City re-runs playing on the plasma screen wall. Really, though, they could’ve left the entire room in a shambles and nobody would’ve noticed, as all of the action takes place by the full-length windows. The bar’s corner location lets you carefully monitor who’s out and about, where and with whom. Who needs plasma screens with this on offer? For the smoke averse, it’s one of the few places that allow you to spill out onto the sidewalk in summer and catch your breath drink in hand.
