It was meant to be a place for our Sapphic sisters but, as anybody with lesbian friends knows, while they do “butch” better than us, they just don’t make very good bar patrons (too many ex’es gathered in one place, we guess – at least by the second week). So instead us boys got another place to spend our paltry salaries.
The place may look and feel like Museum, its big brother on Sepulveda, with the Louis XV replicas, goldframed video screens and shared pool of bartenders, but it won’t quite sound like Museum. No, this is the place to go if you think that Gaga sounds a tad too modern, Beyoncé is a bit too hip and you preferred Madonna when she could still frown. It’s fun from the 70s, 80s and 90s here. With a few boys from the 60s thrown into the mix. Squeeze in and join in.
