They’re busy, the good folks at Axel. There’s always something going on, be it pink parties, drag queen nights, pool parties or premieres, but it’s during the summer that Axel rules: on Wednesday nights with a handsome (if not pretty) crowd sipping cosmos and cocktails in the best of Miami style at the Sky Bar on the roof; and on Sunday afternoon, with a pool party at the same venue that also gathers a loyal following. It's also a pleasant place to start the night on weekends before the town's other bars get going.
The emblematic rooftop bar has been expanded, blessed with a much larger pool and Jacuzzi, and moved one floor up so that guests can now take in the full Barcelona skyline while sipping a well-shaken cocktail and sussing out the talent present.
