Designed by local interior design shark Lázaro Rosa-Violán, this place has a warm, welcoming feel that makes you feel right at home, whether in your room, having a drink in the library-style lobby bar, or on the beautiful rooftop that serves up the meanest gin-tonics in town. A long time favourite of the media crowd who have been drawn by the friendly and competent service, agreeable decor and the convenient location; just off Plaça Catalunya, it’s only a hop, skip and a jump to anywhere in the center of town. It lacks an onsite gym, but guests have free access to the nearby full-facility Holmes Place.

Splendia
Located in the center of Barcelona, only a few steps from the historical Ramblas and less than five minutes from the Passeig de Gràcia. Outside the hotel, in the middle of Gaudí´s city, museums and shopping areas and inside this marvelous hotel, the white, the black, the noble woods, the leather and the glass creates a very welcoming and cosmopolitan atmosphere. The Pulitzer has an excellent location, just a few metres from the Plaça de Catalunya, design and charm are mixed together in this hotel.

Mr & Mrs Smith
Situated just a hop, skip and jump from Plaça Catalunya, and within easy reach of the city’s Gothic and El Born quarters, Hotel Pulitzer in Barcelona is a design-conscious delight. From the ornate front desk – made from gilt-edged panels taken from a Sicilian church – through to the Asian-inspired themes in the communal areas, and even the simply framed artworks in all the rooms, a laid-back, arty feel pervades throughout.

18.0 of 20. Where it departs slightly from the standard set by its peers is in its embrace of conspicuous luxury. The Pulitzer is unashamedly upscale, the public spaces festooned with deep leather sofas, lacquered bookshelves lined with books, and a collection of contemporary and antique artworks; bold and clean it is, but minimal it certainly isn’t.
