This is the Majestic group’s first venture into the world of boutique hotels and the result is as expected: conservative, discreet and not allowing style considerations to compromise the quality. Rooms are comfortable and facilities are fine – Kelly Hoppen. best known for dolling up BA’s first class cabin and the Beckhams’ LA mansion, has ensured a stylish but unadventurous design. You might say that the attraction of this hotel is a bit like CNN’s Anderson Cooper: slightly characterless but in an excellent location, unlikely to offend anybody, and easy on the eye to gays and grandmas alike.
