If you’re hankering after space, then one of these six 150 square meter double suites, each with its own private terrace or sizeable balcony, might just fit the bill.
Admittedly, starting at around 700 euros per night with taxes (but not breakfast), they might not suit your budget, but they are a relative bargain compared to, say, the much smaller suites at the Mandarin Oriental a few blocks down, as long as you don’t need all the services of a proper five star luxury hotel.
The luxury managed flat concept is similar to Suites Avenue and Murmuri Residence, just super-sized and set in a beautiful Modernist building. Guests are looked after by a personal assistant who will try to sort you out with private chefs, grocery shopping, as well as anything else you may need, but otherwise you and the designer classics are pretty much by yourselves.
The suites are Wi-Fi’d and iDock’ed and come with two bedrooms (one king-sized, the other twin), dining and living rooms, a work space and a fully equipped kitchen, and guests also enjoy access to the roof terrace’s chill-out zone, killer views, and small, private spa.
There’s room to spare here but, sitting pretty at the top of the expensive end of Passeig de Gràcia – Barcelona’s prime shopping boulevard – and near the Gayxample, you might find more than a few things you’d like to bring home.
