Sant Sebastià
Once the main gay beach, but the loss of its chiringuito and construction in the zone has seen this part of the beach lose much of its buzz. However, its location in front of the popular CNAB gym means that it but still attracts a mix of gays and nudist who prefer the relative tranquillity here to the louder Mar Bella.
Barceloneta
Its proximity to the center ensures that it will always be packed with both tourists and locals. The part closer to Sant Sebastià tends to pack a nicer looking crowd, but the hipper crowds typically trek to the beaches on the other side of Port Olimpic.
