BANKER'S BAR

If you’re after full blown luxury and hyper modernism with a relaxingly Zen edge, you’ll find it all at the rather spectacular new Mandarin Oriental property in Barcelona. Built into an old bank building, you’ll need the same kind of pedigree if you want to be a part of Patricia Urquiola’s seamless design vision. The mezzanine-level bar, appropriately named Banker’s Bar, serves up great cocktails at its small outdoor terrace, whist inside a series of old security boxes can be found hanging above the bar (do look up). Try one of the bar’s bespoke creations, such as Ginger Margaritas, Pear and Sake Martinis, and Lychee or Orchid Caipirinhas before taking a stroll into the beautiful adjoining gardens.
